Walter Busch-Bernard – Bio

buschWalter Busch-Bernard was born in Hemer (Germany). He studied German literature and philosophy at the University of Marburg.

In 1981 he received a "Promotion" in German Studies, at the University of Marburg. The title of the thesis was: Cäsarismuskritik und epische Historik. Zur Entwicklung der politischen Ästhetik Bertolt Brechts 1936-1940.

In 1989 he received 'Habilitation' to teach German Studies at the University (Professor für Neuere Deutsche Literatur)

In 1987 he became Associate Professor of German Language and Literature in Rome. He moved then to Verona University as Associate Professor of German Language and Literature at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures.

In 2005 he became Full Professor at the University of Verona.
